Thu, 6 September 2007 From 2005 October 1, as I was posting podcasts more regularly, I gave this podcast the name, 'the wandercast', more or less as a tribute to the fact that my mind tends to wander while thinking. At the time, I did not think about acquiring a domain name or gMail account for it.
Today I googled 'wandercast' and found among my entries two things that gave me pause. The minor one is the Yondercast, in which Shane entitles one of his recent episodes 'wandercast'. The major one is this, a travel podcast website created the beginning of this year.
Am I unhappy about this? A little. Will I sic the lawyers on this. Most likely, not. Will I tolerate the travel site sending a take-down notice for my podcasts, despite using that name for 15 months prior? No. Of course, they may have sent to me an e-letter, which I construed as spam and 'filed'.
Then again, maybe this is the time to rework my own podcast. Category: general -- posted at: 9:56 PM Comments[0] |
